The nominations for The 2019 Video Game Awards have been released and to no surprise Death Stranding has come out on top.
With 10 nominations in fact.
Many have argued that there could be a conflict here. With Geoff Keighley being the host and key person behind the Game Awards while appearing in Death Stranding and a known close friend of Hideo Kojima, people are speculating collusion.
The real debate around the Game Awards however is if they are even relevant.
